Helping you succeed

At the WSIB, we make sure you have the tools and training you need to succeed. When you join, you'll be enrolled in a corporate orientation session to learn who we are and what we do. We also start you off with some basic eLearning opportunities to help you get your bearings and better understand our mandate. 

2019 summer student recruitment

Each year the WSIB hires summer students to assist with vacation coverage and special projects. We are committed to providing opportunities for students to gain meaningful hands-on work experience and offering insight into future employment opportunities and career options within the WSIB.

Summer students have the opportunity to work in several different departments throughout the WSIB. In 2019, we anticipate opportunities many departments such as Service Excellence, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations and Legal Services. We hire students in many of our regional offices located throughout Ontario. 

We will accept applications for our 2019 Summer Student program from November 5, 2018 to November 30, 2018. Please visit our website during this time to view our 2019 opportunities and to apply.

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • enrolled as full-time post-secondary students in a recognized institution
  • eligible to work in Canada
  • available to work for the entire duration of the program (April 29, to August 30, 2019)

Our philosophy

When you join the WSIB, you start to put your academic experience into practice as you work on challenging assignments and take ownership of projects. We offer training programs for each stage of career advancement. Our learning and development programs are focused on developing the core competencies that reflect the values of the WSIB and define the skills, knowledge and behaviours which we believe are critical to achieving personal and professional success.
