Workers: helping you stay informed and stay safe

Direct deposit services

We recognize that some of our workers may find it difficult to travel to the bank to deposit their cheques because of mobility issues or because they live in remote areas of the province. We have also heard concerns about mail delivery delays.

Direct deposit for benefit payments give workers the peace of mind that their payments are being directly sent to their bank accounts.

If you receive bi-weekly benefit payments for six months or longer, and are involved in return to work or medical rehabilitation efforts, you can request direct deposit for your benefit payments. Please speak with your Case Manager about having your WSIB payments sent directly to your bank account.

In switching to the direct deposit payment method, the payment date you have been accustomed to may change. However, you will continue to receive future payments every two weeks and directly through your financial institution rather than the mail.
