Health and safety statistics

The WSIB collects statistics on injuries and illnesses from insured workplaces that are required under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA) to report injuries and illnesses to the WSIB.

WSIB statistics do not include injuries and illnesses from workplaces that are not covered by the WSIA. For 2010, WSIB has moved to reporting a total injury/illness rate, which includes lost-time injuries/illnesses, no lost-time injuries/illnesses and fatalities.
