Drug utilization evaluation


The Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomics (HOPE) Research Centre, in collaboration with the Departments of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacology at Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Sciences Centre, performed a retrospective drug utilization analysis of medications workers received through our WSIB Drug Benefit Program for the years 1999 and 2000. Their report identified select medications that fall outside recommended therapeutic guidelines. The Centre presented this drug utilization evaluation to our WSIB Board of Directors in May 2002.
