If you are hiring workers now or already have employees, you should already be registered.
Exemptions to Mandatory Coverage
- Home renovation - Home renovators who do not have workers and contract directly with the person occupying the residents and work exclusively in home renovation work are exempt from the mandatory coverage legislation. If this is you, registration is not required.
- Executive Officers, Partners - One executive officer or partner can apply for an exemption from mandatory coverage. This must be an individual who does not perform any construction work on any building site (including on-site supervision).
