Construction Return-to-Work Regulations Coming Consultations are still proceeding to establish specific return to work rules for employers and workers in construction. Participants in the discussions with the WSIB include management and labour representatives from organizations such as the Provincial Building Trades Council, the Council of Ontario Construction Associations, and the Ontario Homebuilders Association. In the meantime, please contact Construction Sector staff for any support you require in helping your injured workers get back to work. Remember, good return to work practices are an effective way to control claims costs! Independent Operators – Knowing Who Is and Isn’t Independent operators are not covered by WSIB insurance, but can apply for optional insurance.
