    Working with WSIBHealth Care InformationPrograms

This section contains information to help health care practitioners better understand and deal with our workplace safety and insurance system. We want to create more effective working relationships that assist you in managing the best possible outcomes for your patients after a workplace injury or illness.

    Updates
    • Health care practitioners and HST
Effective July 1, 2010, the WSIB is required to pay the new Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).

It is the responsibility of the vendors, suppliers and service providers to determine which of their goods or services are subject to HST.

Please ensure that HST is charged separately from the goods and services provided, using the new service code "ONHST".

    • WSIB enhances narcotics management for injured/ill workers
    • Fax it right -- avoid processing delays
Avoid processing delays by faxing all WSIB claim-related information, no matter where you live, to 1-888-313-7373 or 416-344-4684. This guideline (83k, pdf) ensures the WSIB receives your claim-related fax efficiently.
