    Important News
New Safety Training Required for Loggers
Certification training for cut-and-skid loggers and operators of mechanized harvesting equipment is now a condition of employment across Ontario. As of June 1, 2002, new workers hired as operators of chainsaws, skidders and mechanized harvesting equipment must complete classroom training and be registered in the certification program appropriate to their duties before they start work.

See the Ministry of Labour announcement.

Visit OFSWA to learn more about the training needed, and to find out about OFSWA’s training schedule.
