    Welcome to the Services Sector

    If you’re an employer in
    • Restaurant and Food Services
    • Vehicle Sales and Services
    • Office and Related Services
    • Retail and Wholesale
    • Tourism and Hospitality

    we're here to serve you.

Find out your rate group or estimate your annual WSIB premiums with the WSIB Premium Estimator.

Need to know your Account Manager or Customer Service Representative?
If you have less than twenty workers, contact your nearest Small Business Office.

If you have more than twenty workers, e-mail maria_rizzuto@wsib.on.ca your postal code and your firm number, if you know it.

    Injury Prevention
The safe workplace association for the Services Sector is the Ontario Service Safety Alliance. You can contact them for help on how to prevent injuries in your workplace. You may find additional help from the Industrial Accident Prevention Association and our other WSIB Health and Safety Partners.

    Pharmacy or Large Drugstore?
To confirm if your store is correctly classified, review our definitions of Pharmacy / Large Drugstore.

Are you in the entertainment industry?
If you are in the motion picture, television, commercial, or theatre business, here are some important points you need to know about our coverage.

Did you know we classify grocery stores and supermarkets as different business activities?
To see where your food store fits, review the food store business activities criteria. If you feel that you are classified incorrectly, don’t delay. Contact your WSIB account manager or customer service representative to rectify the situation.

Need to know who to contact?
If you have more than twenty workers, e-mail maria_rizzuto@wsib.on.ca.
If you have less than 20 employees, contact your local Small Business office.

It is essential that an employer be classified correctly to:

    • maintain the integrity of the rate group
    • prevent some companies from having a competitive edge over others
    • maintain consistency in classifying employers.
    It’s also the law.
